@H Show this help page.
@Q Return to communications screen.
This is the Communications Option Menu. By selecting the appropriate option
number you may initiate file transfers, change the current communications
parameters, invoke an ACTION file, issue a DOS command, or hang up the phone.
@3Receiving a File@1
Press the '1' key. You will be prompted with another box asking for the
filename (the file to be written to on your disk). You may enter a full
pathname up to 40 characters long. After entering the filename, check
that the file transfer 'Method' is correct. If not, press @f and then
@s to change the value. Then press @C to begin the transfer.
@3Sending a File@1
Press the '2' key. Enter the filename and method just as you would for

@3Changing Communications Parameters@1
Press the '3' key. You will be presented with the Communications Parameters
screen for the current record. You may change any field. In most cases
the change will take effect as soon as you return to communications mode.
@3Issuing DOS Commands@1
Press the '4' key to enter the world of DOS temporarily. You will see
the d> prompt just like in normal DOS, except the cursor will be larger
(so you don't forget you are still running BitCom). You may enter any
DOS command. Press ─┘ in answer to the prompt to return to BitCom.
@3Running an ACTION File@1
Press the '5' key to see a list of BitCom "Action" files, and optionally
select one to be run. Action files are files with a .ACT name extension.
@3Hang Up Phone@1
You may "hang up" the phone by pressing the '6' key. This sends the global
"Hangup String" to the modem.@.
